Steps to setup Netgear router for satellite connection
- At first, disconnect the modem from your Netgear router and then using an Ethernet cable, connect the computer to a router LAN port given at the back of the router.
- Plug in the power cable and then turn on the router.
- Open a browser on your computer and type 192.168.0.1 in the address bar of the browser.
- Type Username and password at the login page to which you are directed to.Put admin as your username and “password” as your password. Click OK to continue.
- After that, Click Advanced > LAN IP Setup. And change the IP Address to 192.168.10.1.Then, change starting IP Address to 192.168.10.2 and ending IP Address to 192.168.10.51.
- Click Apply. When “Page cannot be displayed” or “Action Cancelled” error message appears, close the Internet browser and turn off the router.
- Connect the modem to the router Internet port and then turn the router back ON.
- Restart the computer and again visit192.168.10.1.
- Again enter default username and password and click OK.
- Click the Setup Wizard under the left of the router settings page.Check Yes, then Next.
- At Dynamic IP Detected screen, click Next and then Apply.
- Then, logout from the router setting page.
